At the University of Toronto, the start of the school year is always filled with excitement and new beginnings. This year, our UNICEF chapter added a unique twist with the Polaroid Photo Booth—a nostalgic and creative way for students and faculty to mark the occasion while supporting a meaningful cause.

Held during our Back-to-School kickoff event, the Polaroid Photo Booth attracted a steady stream of participants. Students posed with friends, props, and themed backdrops designed to showcase school pride and autumn aesthetics. Each photo was printed instantly, providing participants with a tangible memento of the day. More importantly, each Polaroid represented a contribution to a greater purpose: all proceeds from the event were donated to UNICEF to support their global initiatives improving children’s lives.

The event wasn’t just about taking photos—it was about fostering connection. For new students, it was a chance to meet peers and feel part of the U of T community. For returning students, it offered a fun way to reconnect after the summer break.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us, from those who posed for pictures to those who helped organize the event. Your involvement made this initiative possible. Stay tuned for more opportunities to combine creativity, community, and impact throughout the year.
